Vera Kersting (1997) is a Dutch artist who combines her painting practice with installation, performance and documentary film-making. Her visual language and practice is defined by a collision of fetishism, spectacle and madness. She addresses our manic attempts to fill the spiritual void that haunts our contemporary lives. Rawness, complexity, metal and flesh become one through a complex layering of brushstrokes, choreography and editing processes. She currently lives and works in Gent.
